Technical Tours

"R del Sur" or "Maldonado" Wind Farm (morning) + “Punta del Este” (afternoon)

 On Friday after the Conference, a Technical Tour visiting "R del Sur" (25 x 2 MW Gamesa brand turbines), one of the first Wind Farms to start service in 2014, is arranged for registered I2MTC attendees who follow the directions below.

Afternoon: time for free lunch and "Punta del Este" tour, prime beach resort in Southamerica.

08:30 Meet at Radisson Hotel Hall

09:00 Departure: Radisson Hotel, Plaza Independencia

11:00 Arrival: "Parque eólico R del Sur" Wind Farm

11:30 Tour: on the VAN and stop to watch the towers

13:00 Departure: for Punta del Este

14:00 Arrival: "Punta del Este" beach

14:15 On your own for lunch / Free time at Gorlero Street

15:00 Join the Group to visit the sailing harbor

15:30 Get off and walk for 30 minutes

16:30 Tour to the seaside (on the VAN)

17:00 Departure: to Montevideo

19:00 Arrival: to Radisson Hotel, Plaza Independencia

Tour Ticket price: $50 USD/person cash (May 13-14, or early credit card payment)
